altCicoil (Valencia, CA) has released water-repellent silicone cables that are impervious to immersion, high humidity, fungus, and damp operating environments. Also, extremely dry conditions, low humidity, or salt spray and seawater exposure will not affect the cable’s high flexibility or life. The flat silicone cables are available with wire gauges from 4 to 44 AWG and can withstand temperature extremes from -65 degrees to +260 degrees Celsius. They are available in continuous lengths or as assemblies complete with connectors.
