NorPix, Montreal, QE, Canada, has released a small-form-factor video recorder for airborne applications. The system is GigE Vision and IEEE 1394B compatible, and records with two HDTV or GigE Vision cameras simultaneously with StreamPix4 software. It records to solid-state drives or RAM, and records from one HDTV or GigE Vision-compatible camera in compressed format. It is touchscreen-compatible and records to USB memory sticks using CineForm compression. Applications include image archiving and motion analysis.
