Imaging Software

NorPix, Montreal, Canada, has released StreamPix4 software to view, control, and acquire images from single or multiple cameras simultaneously in the same interface. The interface provides a management console for cameras, simplifying setup, control, and acquisition from any number or type of cameras, both locally and remotely connected. The software can support an infinite number of cameras; the number is limited only by a condition wherein the combined data rate of the cameras exceeds the PCI bus bandwidth or the processor capabilities of the computer.

altThe software is compatible with Windows XP and Vista, and can be installed on a desktop or laptop. It works with any camera with a WDM driver, records up to 16 cameras on a single computer, and records directly to RAM for high-speed image capture. The software exports sequences to formats such as AVI, MOV, BMP, JPEG, TIFF, and PNG.
