Stepper Motor with Chopper Drive

The MotoDrive™ PDE captive linear actuator from Haydon Kerk Motion Solutions (Waterbury, CT) comes with an integrated chopper drive to form a compact, precision motor control system. It produces an output force of 220 Newtons (50 lb) for the single-stack version and 350 N (78 lb) for the double-stack version.

altThe actuator can be programmed for microstepping with a step resolution range of 200 full steps per revolution to 12,800 steps per revolution when microstepping.
