The MR319 fiber optic rotary encoder from Micronot, Newbury Park, CA, has an industry-standard 58mm synchro housing and is installed like a conventional encoder. It optically connects to an MR310 module via a multimode fiberoptic link. The encoder operates from 15 to 32 Vdc and offers a range of standard interface options, including A/B quadrature, programmable 4 to 20mA and +/-10V analog, and RS-422/RS-485 serial interface.
