Optical Table

altThe 5300 Series optical table from Kinetic Systems (Boston, MA) offers maximum dynamic deflection coefficients of ≤0.3 (10)-3 and an IRD-maximum relative motion as low as 0.8(10)-9 inches. It features broadband damping and quad-tuned dampers in each corner. Flatness is ±0.005" overall; core shear modulus is 225,000 psi. Sizes are available up to 6' × 20' and in thicknesses up to 36". Standard tabletops have a ferromagnetic stainless steel top skin, a carbon steel bottom skin, and a proprietary epoxy-bonded honeycomb core featuring a SPILLPRUF™ design, whereby entire rows of mounting holes are sealed to protect the core from accidental spills and to simplify cleanup. All sizes are Class 100 Cleanroom compatible, with Class 10 available as an option.
