Haydon Kerk Motion Solutions (Hollis, NH) offers the PCM4806 IDEA™ programmable linear actuator drive that is RoHS compliant and optimized to regulate a low-current power stage suitable for controller can-stack linear actuators. The compact electronic drive and fully programmable control unit feature a graphic user interface. Programming the drive is through the use of onscreen buttons instead of command sets or proprietary programming languages. The user interface features automatic population of the motor and drive parameters. Default values can be adjusted as long as they remain within the safe range calculated by the software. Other features include programmable current control, a single supply voltage of 12 to 48 VDC, 0.6Arms max rated current per phase, and 8 opto-isolated general-purpose I/O. The inputs are rated for 5 to 24 VDC, 4mA max per input.
