EtherCAT Communication-Enabled Drive

The IDM680 Intelligent Servo Drive from Technosoft (Canton, MI) comes equipped with a CANopen, or EtherCAT communication interface, and combines motion controller, drive, and PLC functionality in one unit. The IDM680 operates either as a standard EtherCAT slave using a CANopen over EtherCAT (CoE) protocol, or it can be programmed to execute complex motion programs directly at drive level, using the built-in motion controller and EasyMotion Studio platform. The EasyMotion Studio also automatically generates TML code instructions. The drive is suitable for the operation of brushless, DC, or linear motors up to 640 W continuous/ 1.3 kW peak voltages, and is equipped with various sensors: digital and linear Halls, SSI, EnDAT, BiSS, sine/cosine incremental encoders, and resolver. PC/PLC motion libraries are available for the drive's industrial integration.
