Novotechnik (Southborough, MA) has introduced the TX2 series of position sensors with stroke lengths up to 300 mm. The sensors are sealed to IP67 specifications, and feature an 18-mm-diameter housing size. The sensors provide linearity to 0.05%, with resolution of more than 0.01 mm. They are equipped with pivot heads to provide a large angle of free movement up to ±12.5°. The sensors are available with eight stroke lengths from 25 to 300 mm, and offer an operating life of more than 50 million movements. They withstand adverse environmental conditions such as humidity and dust.
