Stepper Motors

The STM24 Series of NEMA 24 frame hybrid stepper motors from Applied Motion Products (Watsonville, CA) features holding torque rated to 340 oz-in. The CANopen high-torque integrated motors adhere to CAN in Automation specifications DS301 and DSP402. Profile position, profile velocity, and homing modes are supported at data rates to 1 Mbps. Each unit integrates a NEMA step motor, microstepping drive, and controller into a single device.

altThe S models accept step and direction, analog input, joystick control, and streaming host commands using the SCL language. Q models add standalone programming operation using the Q programming language. Both models offer RS-232 or RS-485 communication. An optional 4000 count encoder integrated into the motor housing provides stall detection and prevention.
