High-Dynamic-Range Read Out Circuit

The NSC1101 from New Imaging Technologies (NIT) Corp. (Verrières le Buisson, France) is a high-dynamic-range read out circuit (ROIC) designed to interface with photodiode arrays. The NSC1101 has a VGA format (640×512 pixels), and the ROIC offers a pitch of 15μm. Because of its Native Wide Dynamic Range™ of more than 120 dB, the sensor does not require any setting or exposure time control.
The circuit can be used with infrared sensing materials, including
InSb, InGaAs, or HgCdTe. The circuit can operate at a cryogenic temperature
of 80K. Other photo-sensing materials, such as AsGa for THz
or x-ray detection, have been already successfully used.
