Mesa Geo 3G Rugged Notepad

altJuniper Systems, Logan, UT, has introduced the Mesa Geo 3G Rugged Notepad™ that offers Bluetooth® wireless technology, Wi-Fi®, 2-5 meter accuracy GPS, 3.2MP digital camera, and a 3G GSM cellular data modem that provides real-time wireless connectivity while working in the field. The notepad provides a platform for dedicated field data collection applications that can withstand extreme outdoor environments. It features a 5.7" active viewing display, is built to IP67 standards, and is tested to MIL-STD-810G standards for water, humidity, sand and dust, vibration, altitude, shock, and temperature. A customizable home screen puts the most-used device functions in an on-screen dash-board. Features include user-defined shortcuts and 11 screen gadgets for controlling wireless connections, GPS, texting, e-mail, and power functions. It comes with a Windows Mobile® 6.5.3 operating system that features enhanced pan and flick gestures, and improved memory management. The device operates up to 16 hours with two batteries, and takes 2-4 hours to fully charge. The batteries are warm-swappable in the field.
