Magnetic Encoder

The RSM2800 magnetic encoder from Novotechnik (Southborough, MA) counts turns, measures angles exactly, and remembers shaft positions without power. The RSM2800 is based on Novotechnik’s patented non-contact multi-turn for absolute 5,760° (16 turns) measurement. The wear-free technology combines advanced capabilities with mechanical simplicity in a compact and sturdy housing to provide for longer life and lower cost than optical encoders.

RSM2800 magnetic encoders provide the reliability and accuracy sought in applications such as material handling, forklifts, overhead doors, agricultural machines, and cable extension transducers. The RSM2800 features up to 0.1° resolution and 0.1% independent linearity. It features outputs of 0.1 to 10 V, 4 to 20 mA, or 0.25 to 4.75 V.
