Portescap (West Chester, PA) offers the LVD low-voltage servo drive designed to support small and large brushed DC or brushless motors. Packed in a high-power-density package, it is powered from a supply voltage of 12-48 VDC, and is capable of 7 amps RMS continuous and 12 amps RMS peak current with CANopen® communication interface. The drive offers multiple I/O inputs and can be operated in current, velocity, or position modes. The drive operates at a voltage range of 12V to 48V, and supports BLDC, DC, and low-inductance motors.

The motor measures 117 × 83.5 × 21.5 mm and weighs 250g. Axis Manager is included as a drive commissioning software. The software communicates with the drive via RS-232 or CANopen.
