Tomorrow at 10 am Central time, the Design & Manufacturing Midwest expo opens its doors, giving you the opportunity to see the products and services on display by more than 400 exhibitors. I’ll be at the show – and covering the week’s five other co-located shows – reporting live each day.

So until tomorrow, here’s a preview of some new products you’ll see at D&M Midwest. And don’t forget to stop by the NASA Tech Briefs booth (#1537).

Hitachi America (Booth 1509) will exhibit the RCU Series of generative converter units that offers a "green" alternative to traditional dynamic braking systems. Instead of wasting regenerative energy as heat, the RCU reclaims that energy, converting it into 3-phase AC power. The energy is recycled through the AC line, resulting in increased energy efficiency and reduced energy consumption.

Polyrack North America (Booth 2415) will exhibit a new line of extruded cases. The SmarTEC cases can be configured with one- or two-piece aluminum extruded construction, provide IP65 protection, and can be shielded for RF/EMI designs.

Tekscan (Booth 2441) will display the High-Temperature FlexiForce® force and load sensors. The FlexiForce® product line consists of force sensing solutions for OEM, consumer, and R&D markets.
