Designing Graphics for Safety Critical Systems Using OpenGL SC
- Wednesday, 02 January 2013
Some implementations for graphics in embedded systems don’t fly in safety-critical uses. For an application to be DO-178B/C certified, all its components must be certifiable. Requirements such as determinism, SWaP, radiation hardening, and others make the situation even more challenging for designers, limiting possibilities.
In this Webinar, experts explore technology for rendering OpenGL graphics entirely in software, allowing for rapid integration in flight-ready and other safety-critical platforms. An introduction to OpenGL SC and ARINC 653 concepts leads to discussion of how easily the software rendering engine is called, with ideas for partitioned and distributed applications.
