Designing Graphics for Safety Critical Systems Using OpenGL SC


Some implementations for graphics in embedded systems don’t fly in safety-critical uses. For an application to be DO-178B/C certified, all its components must be certifiable. Requirements such as determinism, SWaP, radiation hardening, and others make the situation even more challenging for designers, limiting possibilities.
