Lightweight Building System Eases Construction
- Thursday, 01 November 2012
A silicate-based, lightweight construction system features building blocks that are already covered by insulating material. After the concreting process, the formed, reinforced concrete tissue grid becomes load-bearing. There is no need for applying any subsequent heat or sound insulation. The primary components of the plaster or gypsum fiber provide fast solidification and subsequent hardening of the reinforced concrete of the inner wall surface texture. The outer layer of plaster makes up the final surface of the internal and external walls. A second component, mineral wool, provides the heat and soundproofing, and ensures the fire resistance of the wall. A fabric-reinforced concrete grid also gives the system earthquake protection and creates a rigid, box-like wall and floor structure. On-site installation and construction time of a 100-square-meter residential building is ten working days.
