The Inclinos 3DS inclination and acceleration sensor, based on thermodynamic effects, exhibits no hysteresis in response signal (output lag). A power distribution of four heaters is controlled by a closed loop, and the temperature of each heater is constantly affected by any acceleration. The sensor has no moving parts, no inertial mass, and offers high responsivity from the idle position. Depending on the angle, the Inclinos measures 360-degree inclination on two axes.

Possible applications for the technology can be found in medical and surgical robotics, sports analysis, crash tests, architecture (building vibration, inclination of wind turbines), as well as forming complete movement profiles (e.g. for pilotless aircraft or other unmanned vehicles).
