The WSG 50 gripper from Schunk (Morrisville, NC) can be controlled via Ethernet TCP/IP or Profibus DP. It features an integrated Web server for configuration and diagnostics. Integrated control and regulation electronics enable the gripper to be integrated into higher-order systems. It is equipped with an internal MicroSD card for saving programs and documents. Sensors are integrated in the gripper jaws, enabling it to measure forces that occur during gripping. It can safely handle products that deviate in terms of sensitivity. The gripper fingers are automatically identified and the corresponding par a meters are selected. The gripper has a stroke of 110 mm and a variable gripping force between 1 and 120N, with a gripping speed of 850 mm/s.
