Advanced Motion Controls (Camarillo, CA) has released the DZE and DZS series EtherCAT® servo drives and DxM (Demultiplexed Motion) technology. The servo drives for EtherCAT-enabled control networks are housed in a package size that can fit in the palm of a hand. DxM technology allows connectivity of up to 3 DZS drives (sub-nodes) to a single DZE (node) on an EtherCAT® network for up to four axes of servo motion. DxM technology handles all sub-node activity through one node, making master tasks simpler in multi-axis systems. Also introduced is the DPE series of EtherCAT-enabled servo drives as part of the panel-mount DigiFlex® Performance™ platform. Both DPEs and DZEs can be used as standalone EtherCAT® slave nodes in single-axis setups, or as part of a larger, multiple-axis EtherCAT network.
