The GigE Trigger Device from Baumer, Southington, CT, controls triggering, power, and image acquisition functions of GigE cameras. With eight inputs, the device integrates light barriers, encoders, sensors, and actuators, processing their signals internally and triggering cameras accordingly. The GigE Trigger evaluates input signals and provides real-time control of additional process steps. Images are transferred to a PC, and the resulting data is returned to the trigger device for follow-up action through the eight outputs that are available to control barriers or other export mechanisms, for example, or provide status messages. The device features industrial voltage level compatibility, simple DIN rail mounting, and a Baumer GAPI-SDK for system integration.
