Analog Devices (Norwood, MA) has released the ADIS16210 MEMS iSensor® digital inclinometer system that provides measurements of both pitch and roll angles over a full orientation range of ±180°. It integrates iMEMS® multi-axis accelerometer technology and signal processing, adding addressable user registers for application tuning and programming, available over an SPI-compatible serial interface. The core sensors are tuned to allow roll/pitch outputs independent of the orientation of the mounted sensor.

The system offers digital accelerometer and temperature sensor measurements with configuration controls for in-system calibration, sample rate, filtering, alarms, I/O configuration, and power management. It is available in a 15 × 24 × 15 mm module that provides mounting tabs with M2-sized mounting holes, and an edge-terminated connector interface. Operating temperature is from -40 to 125 °C.
