As promised in my blog yesterday, I have a sneak peek at a couple of new products that will be on display next week at Design & Manufacturing Midwest, as well as a preview of some of the can’t-miss special features in the exhibit hall.

Celesco Transducer Products (Booth 646) will be showing its SR1 series rugged cable-extension transducer for position feedback in wet environments and outdoor applications. It utilizes a new, digital programmable circuit, and the output signal can be programmed to match the exact stroke range regardless of where it starts and ends.

RedEye On Demand (Booth 2406) will be featuring Ultem thermoplastic for prototyping, manufacturing tools, and low-volume manufacturing. ULTEM is a strong, lightweight thermoplastic that can be used across industries for nearly any digital manufacturing project.

Also on the exhibit floor all week is the Innovation Briefs Theater, which features 30- to 40-minute sessions delivered by industry experts. For the first time, these presentations are complimentary and conveniently positioned right on the show floor! On Tuesday, check out a presentation by Renishaw called “Novel Sensing Technologies Enable Low Cost, Harsh Environment Position Sensors,” at 11 am in Hall A, Booth 652.

On Monday, I’ll give you a final preview before I head off to Rosemont. See you there!
