Fibrillar collagens are attractive materials for production of matrices needed for tissue engineering and
drug delivery. In the presented invention, the possibility
of engineering recombinant collagenlike proteins consisting of a multiplied domain that corresponds to a
specific region of the collagen monomer is explored.
The technology when fully implemented will be deployed in a typical bicycle helmet to image brain activity in real-time (microseconds), with excellent spatial resolution (millimeters) and displayed as three dimensional data on a translucent model.
A novel printed multi-turn loop antenna is presented for contact-less powering and RF telemetry from implantable bio-microelectromechanical systems (bio-MEMS) based sensors. The implantable sensors are being developed by NASA to monitor the physiological parameters of humans during space flights and thus ensure their health and safety.
