The color modulator is created by aligning a triple colored strip filter array (with strip pitch equal the displacements) in such a frame with discrete color strips covering different linear rows of pixels in an underlying imaging array.

A Strike Detector was developed that indicates the location where an impact has taken place. Such a system would be useful for various applications, including spacecraft concerned about particle strikes, to military vehicles in tactical situations, to transportation companies that want to monitor the environment surrounding their shipments.
A new method for bringing metal pads to the backside is presented. This allows pads to reside on the illumination side, solving a key packaging problem for back-side thinned imagers.
