This invention is for a new family of precursors for delivering Cu/ Ag, In/Ga, S/Se/ from a single molecular complex, (excluding those listed in intro and prior art). Additionally by selective manipulation of the steric and electronic properties of the functional group the thermal properties such as decomposition temperatures and phase can be adjusted.
Being corrosion resistant and stable these non-noble metal alloys are inexpensive substitutes in fuel cells for noble metals such as platinum and gold and can be used as a stable electronically conductive catalyst support, and as coatings on stainless steel bipolar plates. Also these materials present the possibility of designing new and inexpensive electrocatalysts.
