| Name | Single-Mode WGM Resonators Fabricated by Diamond Turning |
| Description | We report on the upgrade of WGMRs representing a qualitatively new structure, a single mode WGMR. A diamond turning process is used in deterministic and reproducible fabrication of the resonating microstructures. The new resonators are (i) ultra high optical Q factor, (ii) compact (tens to thousands of micrometer in diameter), and (iii) inherently single mode devices. Moreover, when made with an optical crystal, these resonators have increased robustness and versatility. |
