Name Chemical Passivation of Li + -Conducting Solid Electrolytes
Description We have demonstrated a process to passivate high conductivity (but highly lithium reactive) commercially available solid electrolytes with a thin film of lithium phosphorous oxynitride (LiPON). This LiPON film protects the solid electrolyte from deleterious lithium reaction while maintaining the high conductivity of the plate.
