Name Two-Camera Acquisition and Tracking of a Flying Target
Description The objective of this technology is to use a sensor with a wide field of view such as a fish-eye lens to locate an object anywhere in the sky that is emitting light and moving. Once it is located, its coordinates are sent to a tracking device such as a two-axis gimbal with a narrow field of view sensor. The tracking device acquires the object and then can track its position with high accuracy.
