The Deep Server™ product graphics management (PGM) software recently was purchased by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena, CA, to help streamline JPL’s graphics production pipeline and create a unified graphics repository for spacecraft assemblies. The software is enabling JPL to apply visualization techniques to meet mission goals related to technical publications, spacecraft simulations, and mission project communications.

PGM integrates CAD/PDM and publishing applications, automates 2D and 3D graphics publishing processes, and manages product graphics in various modeling and graphic formats. JPL users can control existing CAD files and integrate graphics into ERP, DCC, or dynamic publishing applications to render 2D and 3D graphics throughout an enterprise. These applications are able to automate graphics transformation and authoring to optimize the graphics publishing processes for product communication and support. The Deep Server technology supports more than 120 2D and 3D formats, and provides a secure and managed environment for proprietary data and access control.
