SST (Speaker-Specific Technology) improves the performance of equalized audio systems, particularly “cone cry” found in lower-end equipment. The SST correction algorithm is based on the physics of the speaker. It eliminates resonance with a compensated notch filter, enhancing the frequencies on the sides of the notch. It then “voices” the speaker using traditional equalization techniques . SST corrects for drawbacks such as minimal parts, thin enclosures, and small magnets, and can remove mechanical sounds from the system while maintaining tonal balance. SST incorporates into digital signal processing circuitry.
