Motion Control

C-Flex Bearing Co. (Frankfort, NY) offers a Super Plastic torsional damping coupling that stabilizes high-precision systems by dampening transient torque variations. The patented design offers high-torque loads with zero backlash for positioning in industries such as medical, packaging, and semiconductor. The standard flexible coupling is made up of two high-strength aluminum ends with glass-impregnated polyamide flexures. They are available with both set screws and “No Mark” steel clamp bushings. English and metric versions are available. Bore sizes range from 0.125" to 1.25", and 4 mm to 32 mm. Lattice and servo styles are available in both the Super Plastic and all stainless steel versions. Positioning Assemblies

UniSlide assemblies from Velmex (Bloomfield, NY) deliver movement in one, two, or three dimensions with linear motion. The systems also can be customized for specific requirements. They are compact, and the design allows for construction of multi-axis systems. They are available in an array of standard manual or motor-driven models and sizes, including linear assemblies, elevating tables, and XY tables. They can be customized with rapid/fine motion, thumbscrew locks, special finishes, way covers, revolution counters, position encoders, or other options. The assemblies are constructed of a hard aluminum alloy and PTFE bearings. Linear UniSlides have a maximum load capacity up to 400 pounds horizontally, and 100 pounds vertically. Straight-line accuracy with precision lead screws is 0.0015" per 10" or better of the screw motion. The elevating tables and XY tables can lift up to 100 pounds. For Free Info Visit

Linear Position Sensors

H. G. Schaevitz Alliance Sensors Group (Moorestown, NJ) introduced the LR-19 series inductive linear position sensors. The contactless devices are designed for factory automation and a variety of industrial or commercial applications such as motor sport vehicles, automotive testing, solar cell positioners, wind turbine prop pitch and brake position, and packaging equipment. They are offered in six full-scale ranges from 25 to 200 mm. Operating from a variety of DC voltages, the sensors offer a choice of four analog outputs and include proprietary SenSetTM field recalibration.
