Multi-Purpose Split-Duct System for Cables

The cable industry uses cylindrical one-piece ducting, but installing cables in such a duct is labor-intensive, difficult, time-consuming, and expensive. This split-duct system features a patented extrusion manufactured from highimpact ABS plastic. The duct sections are hinged together along a longitudinal edge with an integral hinge and “snap” closing system. The system is placed in a trench in a “double-U” configuration and the cables are then laid into the duct. Once the cables are laid, the other half of the ducting system snaps into place, locking the two halves firmly together.

The ducting system can also be placed above ground or in ceilings, and comes in a standard length of 3 meters, including bends, tees, and offset sections.

This invention is a method for impregnating textiles with a predetermined amount of durable antibacterial materials (inorganic compound). BacterProof™ is a patented method for embedding an inorganic compound that kills both grampositive and gram-negative bacteria. Cargo Drop Air Delivery System

The ADCA aerial delivery system reduces cargo loading time, is safe for fragile cargo, and allows loading and unloading to be performed by one person (no special training required). The drop container is designed with a tubular frame, padding materials, a shock-absorbing cushion, and side and bottom air bags to withstand impact as it drops to the ground so that the box remains intact and secure. All types of aerial drops (high/low velocity) are possible, and the system is compatible with existing ranges of parachutes. A flexible, platform microencapsulation technology can be applied to actives from water soluble to water insoluble materials at the 20–35% range; loading levels of up to >50% have been achieved for some actives. The microcapsules protect the actives from environmental conditions, and can be designed to release their core materials in a controlled manner over a designated period of time or by a trigger (temperature, etc.). The capsules can be designed to have multiple cores that can either be contained throughout the inner core of the capsule or seeded in the shell (or both). These “seeded” microcapsules could be used in abuse-resistant pharmaceutical formulations, and could also be applied in a tableting process. The technology increases the bioavailability of pharmaceuticals difficult to formulate and can solubilize them.

The Board Design Test Vehicle is a method for objective evaluation and qualification of supplier capabilities for the fabrication of multilayer printed circuit boards. It is used to analyze and assess technical capability and reliability of products that are provided by a supplier, and provides a mechanism for supplier improvement with validation. The design incorporates features that allow for analysis of variables data to determine actual process capabilities statistically and accurately, with a minimal amount of effort. Data can be plotted with distributions to determine process capability, revealing whether the data is “filtered” or cherry-picked, and can help evaluate the repeatability and consistency of processes. The ability to validate design rules is provided and matches supplier capabilities to actual designs.
