Alpha Gear Drives (Bartlett, IL) has introduced a range of hollow-shaft right-angle hypoid gearheads for worm, bevel, or hypoid applications. The HG+ device is a low-backlash hypoid gearhead in a right-angel design that features high torque, speed, and gear ratios in a single-stage unit. The TK+ hypoid gearhead features a hollow-shaft flange output, and the SK+ is designed for positioning tasks implemented with a rack-and-pinion system. The unit is supplied with the pinion preassembled on the gearhead.
