Applimotion (Loomis, CA) has released ULT direct drive frameless motors in sizes up to 355-mm diameter, with 200-mm through holes, covering , and lasers.

The motors connect to standard three-phase brushless amplifiers or digital drives. They feature low-profile axial height with a 10:1 ratio between diameter and length. Most versions are offered with hall devices that do not lengthen the motor. Applications include direct drive systems in precision inspection and metrology, satellite scanning and tracking systems, and medical devices.
