FIBERTech RoMack (Williamsburg, VA), A LEONI Fiber Optics business unit, now offers a complete product portfolio of maximum performance and long-term stability Planar Lightwave Circuits (PLC) including single mode 1 x N and 2 x N broadband splitters with up to 64 channels, designed as monolithic components for the telecom wavelength range. These components are used primarily in passive optical distribution networks in the subscriber loop of the telecommunication networks (FTTH). Other applications of FIBERTech RoMack splitters are measuring systems, laser systems, and special PLCs with optical functions such as couplers, interferometers or pitch converter systems for measurement, sensor technology systems or optical signal processing. To expedite delivery of non-standard splitters, FIBERTech RoMack has designed a construction “kit” that allows them to manufacture an extensive functional variety of chips such as customized asymmetric or monolithic multiple splitters.
