Fuse and Fuseholder

Schurter (Santa Rosa, CA) has introduced the ASO series fuse and FSO series fuseholder, both designed to protect DC applications from low short circuits and overvoltage conditions in systems upwards of 1000 VDC. They are intended for use in grid or off-grid solar strings, inverters, battery chargers, and combiner boxes. The ASO fuse has a quick-acting characteristic according to UL 248-14. It is a standard midget size at 10.3mm ×38mm. Current ratings range from 1 to 30A with a breaking capacity of 20kA and operating temperature of -40°C to +85°C. The fuseholder mounts in a standard 35mm DIN Rail. A pressure plate connection accepts 8-14 AWG stranded wires or 10-14 AWG solid wires. Units can be ordered in 1-, 2- or 3-poles.
