FLIR Systems (Portland, OR) has introduced the 640 × 480 resolution Tau 640 long-wave camera core. It delivers thermal imagery with a 17-micron pixel size and Digital Detail Enhancement image processing algorithms. Suitable for use in small, unmanned aerial and ground vehicles and security systems, it also includes Camera Controller software to allow users to control most functions. An optional Tau SDK and hardware accessories are available.
