FLIR Systems (Wilsonville, OR) has launched its ChromaNox line of EMCCD low light security cameras. Incorporating advanced EMCCD (electron multiplied CCD) technology, the ChromaNox cameras are available in VGA (640 × 480) and SXGA (1280 × 1024) resolution, and in color and monochrome models. The cameras feature proprietary image processing algorithms to bring out hidden image details in difficult scene conditions. ChromaNox cameras meet Mil-Spec operating temperature requirements of -40°C to 71°C. A wide range of ½-inch format C-mount lenses enable both close situational awareness and long-range observation in light levels not considered possible with standard CCD and CMOS cameras. The ChromaNox 6 (640 × 480 resolutions) features analog video and Camera Link® digital video, while the ChromaNox 12 (1280 × 1024 resolution) features a Camera Link digital video output.
