The Jade LR is a high-performance thermal camera from Cedip Infrared Systems (Croissy-Beaubourg, France). The camera provides long-range images from fixed position surveillance applications, including passive observation, detection and recognition of targets by day and night. The Jade LR uses motorized lenses (25, 80, and 320 mm focal length), switchable by a single command, to provide detection or recognition capabilities at distances ranging from 5 to 25 km. It can be remotely operated through a communication line with the video image provided in either analog or digital RS422 format.

The Jade LR incorporates a sensitive InSb focal plane array sensor (3-5 μm) and 14-bit digital electronics and motorized optics in a compact, weatherproof housing.
