The LasirisTM PowerLine laser from StockerYale, Inc. (Salem, NH) is a line generator for industrial and scientific applications. A thermoelectrically cooled laser, the device is able to emit up to 1 W at 810 nm and 500 mW at 670 nm. Features include uniform intensity distribution for line generators; pointing stability; focus; over-voltage, reverse polarity, over-heading, and ESD protection; an optional base plate for heat dissipation; and an operating temperature of -20o to 50oC. The laser beam can be modulated by an external signal through a DB-9 connector on the back panel, and all models can operate in either CW or external modulation mode.
