DALSA Corporation (Waterloo, Ontario) has introduced its Spyder 3 CL line scan camera with Camera Link interface. It has broadband responsivity up to 408 DN/(nJ/cm2) enabling low-light applications, and up to 68 kHz line rate for high speed and productivity. High or low speeds of 40 or 80 megapixels per second throughput are also featured. The camera has flat field correction, CDS (Correlated Double Sampling), and is fully programmable. The Spyder 3 CL can be used for applications including glass edge inspection, general purpose web inspection, postal sorting, industrial metrology, pick and place applications, and medical and scientific imaging.
