Liekki (Lohja, Finland) introduces their Liekki Application Designer (LAD) v4.0. LAD provides a platform for simulating and optimizing fiber amplifiers, and amplifying spontaneous emission sources and fiber laser systems. LAD v4.0 includes wizards that allow for creating designs and running simulations through a step-by-step approach. The software also includes a multimode analysis of coiled fibers, optimization tool, and variable step size in transient analysis. Add-ons include a concentrated conversion table, splice loss estimations, and mode field and cutoff calculation.
