The MDrive 14Plus Motion Control system from Intelligent Motion Systems (Marlborough, CT) combines the motor, driver, controller, and encoder in one system using a NEMA size 14 brushless 1.8° motor. It measures 1.9 × 1.4 × 2.0" and includes a programmable controller and programming instruction set. Communication is via RS-422/485 or optional CANopen.

The system includes up to eight +5 to +24V general-purpose I/O lines, one 10-bit analog input, 0 to 5 MHz step clock rate, and 20 microstep resolutions up to 51,200 steps per revolution. Optional closed loop control is available. The system accepts input voltage from +12 to +48 VDC. Oversized input capacitors are used to minimize power line surges, and an extended operating range of -40 to 85°C is available.
