Hybrid Linear Actuators

Haydon Switch & Instrument Inc.’s 35000 series double stack hybrid linear actuators measure 1.4 square in. and are available in captive, non-captive, and external linear versions. The size 14 actuators are available in various resolutions ranging from 0.0158 to 0.127 mm per step and deliver thrust voluntarily limited to 222 N to avoid compromising long life. The actuators can be microstepped for even finer resolution.

A proprietary manufacturing process incorporates engineering thermoplastics in the rotor drive nut and a stainless steel acme lead screw engineered to ensure reliability and performance.

Typical applications include medical equipment, semiconductor handling, valve control, X-Y tables, hand-held instruments, and telecommunications. Custom configurations are also available.
