DSM (Franklin, TN) has introduced the VF-90 linear photoelectric amplifier for space-constrained and OEM applications. Compatible with National Instrument’s CompactRIO and CompactDAQ modular chassis, the amplifier is suited for both open-and closed-loop motion control applications.

Specifications include a maximum and peak current output of 90 mA and factory-preset output voltage ranges of - 30/150 V, -30/200 V, +/-100 V. Bandwidth exceeds 5 kHz, and electrical output noise is 2 mV rms. The amplifier is protected from overcurrent, overtemperature, and short circuits, and complies with FCC and CE certifications for product safety and emissions/immunity.

The amplifier is suited for use as a single-channel amplifier for open loop, lower power applications driving piezoelectric motion devices, such as optical fiber stretching, optical scanning, metrology, and proportional valve control.
