A custom CCD camera capable of operating at 100 million frames per second is available from KAMAN Electro-Optics Dev. Center (Tucson, AZ). The camera’s 10-nsec exposures offer speed-of-light image capture outside the gated-ICCD realm. The units are available as 64 × 64 format with 16-frame burst capability. Individual frame integration is programmable from 10-nsec to 1 μsec within each burst, which can repeat at 400 Hz. Output is 12-bit Camera Link format. The CCD camera is suitable for applications in 3D image capture with a single laser pulse, projectile measurement, and fluorescence studies.
