Both the complexity and software content of automotive electronic systems are increasing rapidly. At the same time, the demand for more software and system testing is growing. This need is being driven by requirements from the ISO 26262 standard and the necessity to reduce software-driven recalls, which have been significantly rising over the past few years.

This 60-minute Webinar focuses on the use of Virtual Hardware ECUs to enable automotive Tier 1 and OEM companies to achieve higher testing throughput to reach their software testing and quality objectives. Virtual Hardware ECUs represent a virtual automotive system test bench and are available prior to physical hardware. They enable the fast execution of entire software stacks (including base software and application software).

The Webinar examines how to establish a Virtual Hardware ECU and integrate it into an automotive test bench (virtual Hardware-in-the-Loop). It also discusses how to perform software development, integration, and test tasks including fault and coverage testing, as well as regression testing.
