Energy-saving nozzles offer droplet sizes down to 25 microns, at operating pressures as low as 100 psi. Nozzle passages, including metering slots, spin chambers, and exit orifices, are designed to minimize pressure drop, resulting in conservation of pump energy up to the exit orifice.
Macrolamination utilizes digital tooling for precise placement of critical geometries. The geometries are chemically machined into layers and provide smooth flow passages. Multiple flow circuits may reside on the same layer. The layers are then bonded together, forming a monolithic structure with the diffusion-welded joints approaching the parent material strength. Using only hydraulic pressure, Macrospray technology enables the production of very fine atomized sprays through a non-actuated nozzle.
