The Silver 480M from Cedip Infrared Systems, Croissy-Beaubourg, France, is an infrared cooled camera that provides an acquisition and processing system for dynamic phenomena and high-frequency periodic excitation. Designed to perform ultra-fast thermographic analysis, the camera uses analog inputs for synchronous acquisition of external sensor signals that, after processing by a lock-in technique, enable non-destructive evaluation, fatigue testing, and stress analysis. The camera is based on the company’s cryogenically cooled staring focal plane array detectors, and incorporates Read Out Integrated Circuit (ROIC) technology. The camera features a 320 x 240 pixel format InSb detector that delivers a 400-Hz full frame rate.
